OpenSUSE 11.3 has hundreds of updated packages and upstream software improvements. A few popular titles include Perl 5.12, Mono 2.6.4, OpenOffice 3.2.1 and Firefox 3.6.4, just to name a few.

OpenSUSE 11.3 also has a hot new installer option that lets users choose the btrfs filesystem which is under heavy development but offers many advanced features including Writable snapshots, Subvolumes, and more.

The inclusion of LXDE on the OpenSUSE 11.3 DVD has got to be the biggest enhancement of the whole release. Reason? KDE and GNOME are slow and with a release only offering those two environments you completely miss all of the low spec users, and there's a lot of them. LXDE is lightining quick and is sure to bring a whole new breed of lizards to the OpenSUSE community.
